Matcha White Chocolate Cookies

I love Matcha desserts and I thought I would make some Matcha cookies. These delicious Matcha White Chocolate Cookies are perfect for any green tea lovers.  They are crispy on the outside with a soft and chewy centre filled with a burst of green tea flavour.  They are perfect for afternoon tea or just a treat. In keeping with the Halloween fun.  I decided to turn the cookies into cookie monsters.  They are so fun to make and you can decorate them anyway you like to make them scary or cute, of course. Happy Baking xo Matcha White Chocolate Cookies  Ingredients · 170 grams butter, melted · 2 cups plain flour · 1 tablespoon green tea powder · ½ teaspoon baking soda · ½ teaspoon salt · 1 cup brown sugar · ½ cup sugar · 1 teaspoon vanilla extract · 1 egg · 1 egg yolk · 1 cup white chocolate chips Decorations · White chocolate chip buttons · Mini chocolate chi

Birthday Cake Macarons

I thought I would continue with more birthday celebrations by making these Birthday Cake Macarons. I have wanted to make these for awhile now (and it was my birthday not long ago). These Birthday Cake Macarons are so fun to make & taste delicious.  They have sprinkles on the shells, and are filled with some buttercream and a small piece of cake in the middle. This is a cute alternative for someone's birthday, instead of a cake.  These maracons have a piece of cake in the centre, so technically they are having cake, right? I decided not to make a basic vanilla cake to add to the centre of the macarons.  Instead, I purchased mini jam rolls from @Coles and cut them into small pieces to add the macarons.   You can add any type of cake to the centre of the macarons or if you happen to have leftover cake from another bake, that would be perfect. Birthday Cake Cupcakes

Image
While I was on holidays overseas a few weeks ago it was my birthday and for the first time I didn't have cake on that day, but I did have other delicious foods to celebrate. So now that I'm back in my kitchen, I decided to make my own birthday cake.  You all know that I love cute things so I decided to make some birthday cake cupcakes. These Birthday Cake Cupcakes are so fun to make. Not only are they so cute but they take less then half the time to bake and decorate.  And an added bonus, you can also eat the whole cake, not just a slice because they are so little. I piped different decorations on the cupcakes to make them look like a full sized cake. I then decorated them with different types of sprinkles. You can decorate the cupcakes anyway you like.  You can add colour to the buttercream icing too. Next time you don't have enough time to make a birthday cake, you could make these cuties instead. Peanut Butter Spider Brownies

Image
I'm so excited to be back in the kitchen and baking again. For those who follow me on Instagram, you would have realised that I have been on holidays for the last two weeks. Hope you are all well and ready to try some new recipes. I discovered this recipe a few months ago and couldn't wait to share it with you.  If you remember, I discovered that peanut butter was so good with chocolate recently. This recipe can be made just like a regular brownie in one tin but remember, you need to bake it for longer. I love to make desserts look cute and so instead of making this peanut butter brownie and cutting it into squares, I made them into cute spiders for a Halloween theme. I made two types of spider brownies. One is a spider and the other is a donut spider with sprinkles.  They are fudgy and topped with a peanut butter swirl. I think the pretzel sticks for the spiders' legs add a nice flavour to the brownies along with the slight saltiness of the crunchy peanut butte
