Raspberry Banana Bread

Image
Banana bread is one of those recipes everyone needs in their recipe collection.  If you ever have ripe bananas, this is a great go-to recipe. This Raspberry Banana Bread is super moist and delicious.  The addition of raspberries throughout the bread gives it a little tang' and balances the sweetness perfectly. Trick to having raspberry pieces appear throughout the banana bread is to break the raspberries into smaller pieces so they are not too heavy and won't sink towards the bottom of the bread,  Also, if you pop a few raspberries at the top and push it in slightly before baking, they tend to stay towards the top of the banana bread. This recipe is so easy to make and everyone will enjoy it.  It's great for breakfast, afternoon tea or just a snack throughout the day. Hope you get a chance to try this recipe soon.  Start ripening those bananas. Happy Baking xo Raspberry Banana Bread Ingredients · 2 cups self-raising flour · 1 teaspoon baking p...

Tasty's 2 - Hour Cookies

Image
I'm not sure about you but those Tasty videos on YouTube can be fun to watch and they make me want to make whatever they are baking because it looks so good. One of those videos is the 2-Minute vs. 2-Hour vs. 2-Day Cookie.  I decide to skip the 2-Minute cookie as it didn't look great but the 2-Hour and 2-Day Cookie sure looked delicious. I decided to make the 2-Hour Cookie and boy were they good.  The cookies were a little crunchy outside with a soft centre full of melt-in-mouth chocolate bits.  It tasted just like a really good chocolate chip cookie. Here is the link to the recipe from Tasty  https://tasty.co/recipe/the-best-chewy-chocolate-chip-cookies All photographs posted here are mine, from my bake. Below is my very small changes to the recipe. Hopefully, I will get round to making the 2-Day Cookie soon. Strawberry Crinkle Cookies

Image
These crinkles cookies came about as I've been wanting to make them for awhile now.  Here is my version of the strawberry crinkle cookies.  I used Queen Fine Foods Strawberry and Cream flavouring for added flavour. I noticed that a lot of the recipes used cake mix and I love to bake from scratch and opted to not use cake mix but instead add a flavouring instead. These Strawberry and Cream Crinkle Cookies taste like a fluffy cake with a hint of strawberry flavour.  These cookies have a sweet and crunchy outside with a soft cake-like centre.  You can also make them in other flavours such as chocolate, lemon or red velvet. I love that they have the cute crinkle tops on them. Happy Baking xo Strawberry Crinkle Cookies Ingredients · 115 grams unsalted butter · 1 cup caster sugar · 1½ cups plain flour · ¼ teaspoon baking powder · ¼ teaspoon baking soda · ¼ teaspoon salt · 1 egg · 1 teasp...
