Lemon Drizzle Cake

Calling all lemon lovers.  This Lemon Drizzle Cake is the perfect bake for anyone who loves lemon in desserts or cakes.  This cake uses the whole lemon.  The zest is used in the cake and the lemon juice is used to make the lemon sugar syrup and the lemon icing.  You will definitely enjoy the lemon flavour right throughout the whole cake. A slice of this Lemon Drizzle Cake is lovely for afternoon tea or just because you love a slice of cake packed with lemon flavour.  It's so easy to make and the perfect cake to share with others without it being too sweet. Chocolate Cactus Decorations

I've been wanting to make cactus themed desserts and when I saw this silicone cactus ice tray at Kmart, I thought these would make cute cake decorations.

I decided to use the silicone ice tray to make cute chocolate cactus decorations out of them.

These Chocolate Cactus Decorations are so easy and quick to make.  They also make fun and cute decorations for cupcakes or cakes.

Chocolate Cactus Decorations

Ingredients

· 200 grams white chocolate
· Food colouring (leaf green – americolor)
· Silicone cactus ice cube tray (Kmart)

Instructions

1. Place white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (make sure the bowl does not touch the water). Stir until completely melted and remove from heat.

2. Add a drop of the food colour gel and mix until combined. Add extra drops of food colour gel if you want the green darker.

3. Place melted chocolate into a piping bag or snaplock bag and pipe the chocolate into the cactus ice cube tray. Tap to remove air bubbles and place into the refrigerator to set (20-30 minutes).

4. Remove from tray and they are ready for use.

Tips

· Chocolate can also be melted in the microwave at 20 seconds interval until melted.
